My cousin did. they put her in hospital and gave her steroids to build up the baby's lungs. Her little girl was born at 26 weeks and weighed just 950 gms or around 2 pounds. I think she stayed 3 months in the hospital. She is now in 2nd grade at school and is doing fine, no complications from her early arrival.

My friend had her baby about a month ago, and she was only 21 weeks but the baby was measuring 23 wks 4 days. I was born at around 24 -25 weeks almost 18 years ago, so dont stress out so much, yes it would be best for ur baby to stay in there as long as possible but think of the technology, its way better today then it was back then, just make sure you give birth in a hospital that has a neonatal team. good luck!

I had my baby early 7 weeks to be exact. i know it is not as early as you but i actually started having issues around 25 weeks. She was born early and is now two. She has no issues and is doing everything that two years old do and then some. The thing is that sometimes in pregnancy it can go anyway, you can be doing everything right and go into labor early. The only thing you can do is just remain calm, take the meds and pray. Whatever God's plan is will come to be. i wish the best and pray that all things go well for you and baby.

My cousin had her little girl at 24 weeks, I believe.
They couldn't stop the labor she was already 8cm's dialated.
They did an emergency c-section.
Zoi was born a little under 2 pounds, she's 3 now, and is an amazing little girl.
They say there's a lot of learning complications and physical difficulties that early, she learned potty training, and everything at the same pace of other toddlers born full term. Only "problem"(if you could even call it that) is she wears glasses, that's it.
edit- she was only in the NICU for 2 months.

My BF had her daughter at 24 1/2 weeks. She was 1lb4oz. They went through a lot of emotional ups and downs worrying that the baby wouldn't make it. It was emotional hell for them. However, it is 3 years later and their daughter is a perfectly health normal girl. She is tiny...wears 18 month clothes...but perfect. She does need a teeny tiny correction to her eyes but considering everything that could go wrong they have been very lucky. So, never give up hope.

That happened to my friend at 26 weeks along; however, she was so far along that they could not stop the labor and the baby died shortly after birth due to her lungs not being developed enough.
It's good that you caught it soon enough so they were able to stop the labor. One of my other friend's had the same thing happened but they were able to stop the labor and she had a healthy and happy baby boy at 35 weeks.
