I was sooo glad when he went off the air, because I get so few radio stations all the way to work, here in the hills. The good classic rock station was taken over by Imus each morning. Now he's back...sigh. I am stuck with NPR, which is idiotic, and some Muzak station. I just can't stand his pompous attitude and can't imagine he'll be any better with his new format. I guess I'll have to get a CD player for the ol' '96 Geo Metro.

This country is getting WAY too PC. And that Don Imus nonsense is just the tip of the ice burg. Too many nimrods are crying, "I'M OFFENDED!" wa wa wa wa wa
Case in point:
William and Mary College in Williamsburg, Va had to lose the FEATHERS on their logo because they were, and I quote, "AGGRESSIVE AND OFFENSIVE TO NATIVE AMERICAN INDIANS." However, they can still use the term TRIBE. Seems to me the feathers would be a sign of HONORING them, not DISRESPECTING them. However, the Florida Seminoles are keeping the Seminole as their logo, which pleased the Seminole Indians of Florida.
Oh, W&M's new logo is almost like the green and yellow WM of the Waste Management company, except William & Mary's 'M' is green instead of yellow and they have the "&" between the W and M.
Hmmm might someone get offended that a college might be confused with a trash transfer company?

Such controversy ... over Imus ... wow! I agree that he made a big mistake, he admitted that and apologized for it, in person even! I agree that he makes tons and tons of money for doing what he does!

So, If you don't like his show, change the channel, don't listen!

I am more offended by some of the music out there, for which there is no apology to anyone! And, I do change the channel!

i think of Al Sharpton is a moron for who and what he says and preaches, yet that would not supply Imus, or all and diverse the main staggering to make such statements. those women on the basketball group did no longer deserve such comments, greater desirable they are playing activities and starting to be beneficial function fashions for young women than to be like lots of of the hollywood celebrities and music stars out immediately. the two way, this is stupid. in spite of the undeniable fact that i might opt to work out greater blacks talked approximately as out on their racism as a replace of it continuously being justified purely using previous, which maximum folk had no longer something to do with.

Why is that people with no talent, get their 15 minutes of fame and more, Make tons of money, and us poor slobs, that struggle through life, just keep on keeping on.
I have never listened to him, heard enough about him, that I am not even remotely interested. I have heard lately about his Ranch for children, at least he does some good in this world, for all the anger and trash he spews over the air-ways. Maybe that is his way of making amends.

Imus has been around for so long and he's paid to do just what he does - be outrageous. We've become so politically correct these days that the company he works for can't just brush it off anymore. I don't appreciate his humor myself, but his outlandish mouth is why he is hired.

What dilemma? He sure doesn't find himself in one! He is back on radio now with a new show and trying to be Politically Correct with a Black sidekick...[makes my tummy churn]

I wish I could make HALF the money some of these no-talent folks on TV and other media venues make! LOL

Goes to show ya' what the public likes! - and that's a shame too!

Don't get me started here. I think he should have apologized,
he did. I think he should have had some form of punishment, he did. I really never enjoyed his show and really don't care for him as a person, but many did/do.....so I think he's done what he should do and I say let it go now. There are those like Sharpton, who have done and said as bad and sometimes worse but they are allowed to continue ranting in order to see themselves on camera and they never appologize. Oh-Oh, I said don't get me goin'. LOL Plus, who cares how much he makes? It doesn't come out of my pocket so I don't care.

He was way out of line with the comments he made that got him fired. He's a racist & I don't believe his apology was genuine. He now returns to radio & has two African Americans as comedians on his show. Go figure!!!

I never did like Don Imus and
still don't. He has always been
a big mouth that caters to the
slanderous, bigoted nasty
crowd and I'm sure he will not
change.
He's one of those guys that
likes to dumb- down America.
