I've been to America four times, and it is nothing how our media depicts it. The people in America are just as intelligent as the people here, the quality of living is practically the same, however our Media seems to really hate the States. My question is, what for?

The BBC and all of the British media are controlled by the British establishment and they DO profess an anti-American agenda.
Their criticism of American government should not be taken seriously, however, because it is used only as part of a wide-ranging set of techniques to create the appearance of even-handedness in the British media's political reporting and this can really harm only British people. The techniques are so effective that many people in Britain actually believe that news stories here in Britain are delivered in an unbiased way. Here is how the trick works.
If the media is seen to criticise a Republican senate or president, people may be fooled into believing that British right-wing politics might also be reported truthfully here. This is, of course, not the case.
The advantage of choosing American (and not British) right-wing politics is that British media reportage can have NO effect on the opinions of American voters so they can repeat this trick endlessly without harming the American establishment.
Meanwhile, smears, loaded with psychologically potent emotive words, endlessy pepper reports about any centrist or left-of-centre government in Britain. After all, the establishment didn't get where it is in Britain through 'playing fair' - they inherited all of their privileges and they have an awful lot to lose if the British Labour Party were to successfully create a meritocracy - a level playing field for everyone in Britain.

I havent noticed. What I do notice about the bbc news is that it is very selective in what stories it covers and instead of giving out details on many stories it goes over the same stuff again and again. The canoe dude is a good example, i mean who cares, I think coverage of Iran Iraq and other serious global issues are of more importance than some knob doing an insurance scam.
