I listen in awe to thunder, but around here it's rarely delicate. If you're caught in a rain storm around here, you'd better get inside or you'll get hit by lightning.

As a child the sound of thunder used to terrify me, not that I had to worry so much about it anyhow. It rarely rains here in southern Cali... but whenever we get a thunderstorm now, I am able to relax, but will sometimes have the urge to hide in my closet.

Yes. I do. I think it's an amazing sound. The best thunderstorms happen at night when you're lying in bed trying to sleep.
