I need some SONGWRITING advice please!?

Question

As some people may know, I am an aspiring song writer, but ever since my life has fallen into a big pile of mud, I havn't had all that much to write about! I am just looking for some SERIOUS song ideas. Or just some songwriting advice. Please, I'll take anything.

The greatest mistake is not to do. When you're singing a song you like do you ever think 'Hey hang on the writer's life was just a pile of mud?' Of course you don't You just sing the song and enjoy it. Now if they had been bemoaning their lot instead of writing you wouldn't have had a song to sing.

You have asked for serious ideas, not the greatest money spinners silly love songs are usually more profitable. In the sixties the bandwagon everyone was on the protest song. I think the bandwagon for today will have to be the environment.

Try to write about your blocked head, today's society is full of people with blocked up heads so they'll like it. Just write an almost diary entry and translate it to lyrics.

E.g. My brain is hurting so bad and I have writers block...

No inspiration has left me,
So empty,
I need empathy for my art

And now I'm troubled, so troubled
Thinking I don't know to do
And now I struggle, I struggle
Trying hard to figure out what to do.

Use Refrain.

I been left in the bust a lot,but suddenly you'll get it.
Use subjects and topics, or use fragments in statements.
Try to get a point across.

Or you could listen to music without lyrics or instrumentals.

Every morning the sun kisses the sky and gently warms the air,
It drapes the earth into its bossom, so lovely and so fair,
It creeps into the the surface, awakening all that sleeps,
It whispers a good morning through the little birds that speak.
The river rums a steady pace for those who would delight,
Sunlight dances upon the surface so beautiful and bright.
The trees sway to and fro with leaves falling to the ground,
And all around this sweet serenity, there is but one sound.
The sound of life, peace, and hope surrounding us with great love.
