Probably fourth place again.

By that do you mean that they will finish above .500? I'd say that might be a stretch. Consider that the Orioles have considered trading trading away Tejada, and have even feilded offers Erik Bedard that they are once again going into another season thinking "future, future, future"

The bullpen where the Orioles spent a bulk of their free agent money struggeled and with Chris Ray out on Tommy John surgery they are going to have to try someone new at closer, in this division, you NEED to have someone who's got the mentallity and the stuff to close out tight games. Ray struggeled at times last season, but he was the ballclub's best option for that spot.

As far as hitters go, the Orioles have Nick Markakis, a homegrown talent who's all ready hit above .300 in his second season, he takes a lot of walks and spreads the ball pretty evenly to all feilds. He's a line-drive hitter with pop to the tune of about 25-30 homeruns, who's only likely to get better in the next few years.

That being said the Orioles don't boast a powerful line-up on par with the Yankees or Red Sox. They have a great table setter with Brian Roberts at lead-off, a solid 3rd baseman in Melvin Mora, Tejada's Tejada, but before he injured himself he became more concerned about being a line-drive hitter and less about hitting for power, which was attracted the Orioles to him initially.

It just seems to me that the Orioles still have a lot of questions to date going into next year. That doesn't bode well for a team that wants to do welI. We'll see what the young pitching rotation can do about that. I am a huge fan, I am hoping that this time GM Andy MacPhail sets this team in the right direction for many years to come. That is if Angelos will allow his baseball people to run the franchise.

Sorry but not a chance. Boston is the best team in baseball the Yanks will stumble but still finish in second by a a large margin. Toronto will stumble when Glaus is suspended but they did sign Lo Duca. The Rays will improve w/solid young pitching of Scott Kazmir, James Starks, and Matt Garza but is trading away it's young hitters. Still Baltimore will struggle after trading away Mora and Tejada and Berdard their only solid pitcher. Plus they have a horrible bullpen their best being the erratic Chris Ray. Definetley 5th place

Absolutely not. The Devil Rays will finish above the Orioles this year.

I doubt it. They really do have an ok team. Their pitching staff is very good, if they can stay healthy. The pitching staff is a very young staff as well. The other players just are not up to the caliber of the Yankees or the Red Sox. I can only wish that they will come in first. I do hope they come in at least third.

They are traded Erik Bedard, so unless they totally rob someone in the trade I'd say they'll be 5th in the AL East - yes, even behind TB. Sorry dude, but at least Camden is a great place to see a game.

This year......NO. But if my sources are reliable I hear they are going to deal Tejada, Bedard and Hernandez to the Mets for prospects. So maybe in a few years when those prospects mature. But of course the Yanks ans Sox will have purchased bigger and better teams by then too.......

Yeah sure. Theyre trading Eric Bedard and Miguel Tejada and Brian Roberts and they should finish behind the Devil Rays.

The Rays will pass them this year and the O's will fall into last place. The Rays are just too talented (and have 5 top 50 prospects coming up this year). Look for them to suprise the world this year. They may even get by Toronto. Remember you heard it here 1st.

They don't appear to be doing anything to improve themselves and I would say that 2008 will be a mirror image of 2007 for them.

No. Especially if they trade Bedard and Tejada.
