Ok, sweetie, you need to see the doctor. I was 10 years old when I started my period. For the first year and half, I had a period every other week and it lasted a full 8-10 days. So, I feel your pain! Go see a doctor. It's possible that you need birth control pills to help with your cycle.

Good luck, honey. I'll be thinking of you.

I had to deal with month long periods this year, too. And I'm 27. Sometimes hormones just get all out of whack and you end up dealing with extended periods.

You do want to see your doctor just because when you have your period, you lose iron from the blood loss. The longer the period, the more blood you lose, the more iron you lose. I ended up taking over the counter iron pills. When the doctor takes your blood, they'll be able to check to see if you have low iron or not.

I also ended up going on birth control pills to regulate my period. Since you're 14, the doctors may want to wait and see if your cycle works itself out on it's own.

Hope this helps! And don't be scared, this happens to a lot of females. It'll be okay.

Hi, you should go to your doctor because a period is not supposed to be more than 8 days long. I have problems with my period since I was 12 years old I am now 26. You should get yourself check because if you don't handle it now you might have problems in the future. Talk to your mom or dad. They are the best people to help you. Good Luck!

Some woman / girls have periods 3 ~ 4 weeks long. Doctors regulate periods by putting them on birth control. See your doctor as soon as possible.

But I'll answer anyways..;)

Having your period for MORE than 1 week is BAD. You need to go see a doctor. They will know what's wrong by talking with you, and knowing your habits... etc.

yea... go see a doctor. They know best!!!!! Don't wait too long either! It could be more serious than you think!

You should see your doctor as soon as you can. Your period should only last 2 - 7 days, averaging around four. Go get checked out, something could be wrong. Good luck!

Have your mother take you to the doctor. I am sure with the doctor's help you can begin to get your periods regulated. Good luck.
