To answer your question;

Yes it does, the US military was dispatched to the border to hunt down Pancho Villa in 1916.

Yes, but their recent use along the Texas border has been met with gunshot from Mexico.

I don't think they want them there and if you apply the same reasoning that libs apply to the Iraqi War, they need to back off and stop agitating our neighbors to the south!!!!

OMGosh, it is no wonder the Mexicans have begun to hate us!

Edit: I believe there were a few Army units mixed in with the Border Patrol and National Guard recently when these incidents happened - might be wrong. Either way, they need to back off!!! They're just upsetting the situation....

Right?

There are fivep parts of the U.S. Military for five specific reasons. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and National Guard. Everyone always forgets about the National Guard (but who can blame them..)
If you mean to combat Mexico or Canada in war, then the Army would be sent in. Currently with the "illegal alien crisis" there have been more National Guardsmen deployed to "protect the borders"

If one looks at illegals who deliberately cross our borders as more than mere law-breakers or scamps, and sees the inherent danger in this activity, it is clearly in the military's domain to guard our borders against potential threats to our country -- an invading force.

No; although I want all illegals OUT, I don't classify them as an invading force, but if our borders are so porous, it's easy to see that terrorists (agents of an invading army) would/could/did slip invade.
