I accidentally posted this in the cats section last time... LEts try again shall we?

I put the tree up tonight, we have these glass ball ornaments my mother in law bought me last year. but Im wondering if it is even worth it. I have a three year old a one year old two cats and two dogs. One being a clumsy Pit Puppy. I look at these ornaments and see shattered glass and tree all over my foyer... * looks over to see the cat already helping herself to a bite of the tree* Should I try it?

I have 2 cats and 2 kids. Im not sure which have broken more ornaments. lol

I have found it best to use mostly unbreakable ornaments. I think if I were you, Id save those special ornaments a year or so untill things calm in the house so to speak.

You can make some great ornaments for the tree yourself without breaking the bank and these wont break when handled, dropped, or drug thru the house. :-)

Heres one of my fav is your interested. Oh and good luck with the tree and maybe your cats wont try to lay in the branches like they do mine.

I just bought an inexpensive tree since I have 2 kittens this Christmas. I knew they would destroy it and they did not let me down! It looks like I pulled it out of a dumpster! It's the price you pay to have cats and a Christmas tree. Just hang on some cheap plastic baubles and keep your sense of humor. Tell people you're competing with Charlie Brown for the ugliest tree. Otherwise Christmas will suck from the stress of trying to keep everybody out of the tree!

You wouldn't want to get on the kids JERK list. You wouldn't want to have to disaplin the puppy. Your husband can learn to use the tree outside, and you will have a job cleaning up the dried pine needles....Just go out and get some plastic ones. And buy a LOT of NAUG. (yOU WILL LIVE).

Unless your mother-in-law is coming over and will see the tree, I wouldn't do it.

And if your mother-in-law does come over, you can put the ornaments on right before she arrives. . . .at the very top of the tree.

I wouldn't. I have a toddler-a boy toddler... a very very BUSY and nosy boy toddler...
Nothing but lights and garland for us. If you want the ornaments to last past tomorrow evening, I highly recommend forgoing the ornaments.

I'd put these on either a small table tree placed out of their reach or hung on a wreath or evergreen valance over a window or slider.

I wouldn't do it. My cats always end up knocking off some ornamets. That's why we always put not-so-special ones on the bottom. But now with my dog being as big as she is, I'm worried.

But with you having 2 kids... I definitely wouldn't do it. Good luck, hon!

you probably owe it to your little guys, cats, and dogs, as well as to yourself, Not to bother with them.
