Definately go to the doctor. If it is a UTI, you'll need medication to clear it up. It could also be a kidney stone. I had those and they are NOT fun at all. I always felt like I had to pee but nothing would come out. But it was accompanied with severe pain in my lower back (which is where you kidneys are located). So if you don't have pain now, that doesn't mean you won't. Go have it checked out.

I see you posted this three days ago. Hopefully you have been to the doctor by now because it sounds like you definitely have a UTI. There is a difference between "nothing" comes out when you feel urgency and just a drop comes out so make that clear to your doctor. They will put you on antibiotics and the horrible symptoms will soon clear up. If not, go back and see you doctor. Untreated, a UTI can spread to you kidneys. Not good. Unfortunately once you have had one you are more likely to get one again. I have these chronically and here are some great ways to prevent them:

Drink plenty of water
*When you are hydrated bacteria can't stick as easily to the walls of your urethra.
Urinate frequently-and always after sexual contact
*Don't give bacteria a chance to stick around
Drink at least one glass of fruit juice a day (berry juice is best)
*Juice had anti infective qualities
Take cranberry pill supplements
Eat fermented dairy products such as yogurt and cheese
*Because most UTIs are caused by your own germs from your digestive tracts, (women had bad luck in their urethra's proximity to their digestive tract) changing the bacteria from bad bacteria (E coli that usually causes UTIs) to good bacteria has been proven to work.
Wipe front to back after using the restroom
Use fragrance free soap in vaginal area

To find out for sure if you have a urinary tract infection is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think is going on.

Get some Azo from the pharmacy to ease the symptoms and get a lab test to see if you have an infection. Whatever is causing your symptoms needs to be evaluated by a doctor.
