Before this year I hated the Patriots. I couldn't stand them and I was still mad about them beating my Panthers a couple of years a go in the Super Bowl, but now I am rooting for them to go 16-0. Why? Because after the whole spygate thing, which was blown way out of proportion, everyone hated the Pats and they have gotten way too much crap than they deserved, now nearly everyone hates them, there coach is "A horrible person" and yet they have risen against all that and been great under pressure, which I repsect. Also I've always wanted a team to go undefeated, because it would be the first time I ever saw a team do this, as I wasn't old enough to have the fortune of seeing th '72 Dolphins.

I don't think you CAN take away WINS and maintain league integrity. The Pats probably deserve to forfeit games from the previous seasons but that would be detrimental to the league. The best thing for the league as a whole was to destroy the tapes (evidence) and move on. Without knowing the full impact that the tapes had on games, I think the punishment fit the crime. I think the total dollar amount was $750k plus a first round pick. That is pretty severe. I don't ever recall a team being docked a draft pick, much less a 1st round pick. You could argue that the severity of the punishments points to the severity of the crime but you could also argue that the new Commissioner has been dealing out over the top punishments in an effort to deter more detractors. As a league and fan base, we have to move on. The tapes were confiscated week 1, the Patriots have gotten zero benefit from them this season (assuming all tapes were turned over). Knowing that the Patriots have been taping for a while and that they had an extensive library obviously puts a dark cloud over their previous success and I am sure that historians of the game will bring this up when discussing the most dominant teams in NFL history. That is simply a sad footnote that the Patriots will not be able to escape. The argument that every team trys to gain an unfair advantage by any means necessary is simply a myth, unproven and therefore baseless. Its an excuse that Pats fans will use to try and dilute the severity of their teams crime.

I would love to see a team go undefeated, just to wipe that smug look off of Don Shula's face every time he pops that bottle of champagne when the last undefeated team of the season finally loses a game.

So, it's the Patriots. They're a good team. I'm not a fan. But, I was smart enough to pick up Brady for my fantasy football team in this year's draft. So, as far as I'm concerned, he can run up the score all he wants.

But, I think I would like to see the Dolphins go winless more than see someone go undefeated. Not that I have anything against the Dolphins (although I always thought Cam Cameron was overrated as the Chargers' offensive coordinator - and this would prove it). But, I do think it would be ironic that the Dolphins become the first NFL franchise with both a winless and a lossless season in their history.

Go Not Dolphins!!!

Naw not really, I rooted for them last year to beat the colts but they lost, but I root for them to go 16-0 in the regular season, and win until the afc title game when they will lose to the jags in overtime by a field goal.

Don’t hate, I just love rooting for the underdog in the entire afc, since everyone is so in love with the Steelers, colts, patriots, brown, titans, and chargers I root for the true underdog in the afc the Jacksonville jaguars.

No, you aren't. I'm an Eagles fan but I'd like to see them do it. It's history. We may never see it again. It would also shut the 72 Dolphins up once and for all.

I can't stand the Patriots***!
I don't care who beats them! Heck I was even a >blech< Raven fan for a day. I'm not at all convinced that the cheating ever stopped. I just want to see the Patriots*** lose!
I'd love to see your Panthers go undefeated because I like John Fox. There are a lot of teams I would love to see be perfect but not these guys. I don't respect them whatsoever.

As a New England girl...GO PATS! Woohoo! Albert, you sound like my boyfriend! lol

We all start off as bandwagon fans. I did with the Red Sox. Never watched a damn game in my life until I found out my boyfriend (at that time best friend) was in love with them. I hopped on the wagon and faked Soxisms for like...ever. Until this year when I got really into them...I was jumping for joy and almost screaming when they won the series. Nothing wrong with being a bandwagoner. It almost always ends in a true love for the team. :) Go sockies!

Any TRUE fan of the game appreciates talent and what a team can accomplish.....

If your head is so far up your favorite teams butt for you to see anything else...Then you really are a fan of that team and not the game.....

No, I'm not a Pats fan but I'd like to see them go undefeated. I also want to see Miami go winless. It would be history, and I'd like to be able to witness it.
