How did I end up in the freezer in the first place?

I hope NEVER to fall again on ice!

In 1993 I was working a job where at lunch time I left to go to the carry out next door. I had to traverse a large concrete lot between our business and theirs.

Coming back with my arms full, I fell! I knew nothing until one of my co-workers who viewed my fall was bending over me.

Thankfully I was not hurt that bad...but it scared the jeebeebies outta me!

Falling is a great fear of mine; as three years ago I fell outside my job and broke 5 bones in my right hand and wrist and required surgery and a titanium plate inserted. I had been wearing thong sandals and the lip of the sandal caught on a raised portion of the sidewalk.

Today I watch every little step I make..I don't care what people think!

Knowledge is a dangerous thing... and I know some falls can result in permanent disability or even death so yes, I think of that.

AIN'T READY to go over a stupid fall!

I think about how when I fall now, I don't bounce back like I did when I was younger.
I remember when I was young and expecting my daughter and was hurrying down the steps to go somewhere. I was 8 mts along and the front steps were covered with snow and ice. I slipped and slide flat down the 4-5 steps to the sidewalk and landed sitting up. I just got up, dusted off and went on my way.

Am I going to be able to get up! Last time I slipped on the ice I had to have therapy on my knee.

I broke my pelvis 9 years ago-they told me never to move to someplace where it snows. But I did. So i am always afraid I might fall and rebreak my acetabulum again.
