Everyone has a right to an opinion. They do not have the right for that opinion to be respected.

I respect educated opinions even when they disagree with mine.

I have no respect for uneducated propaganda spouted by people who are illiterate.

How anyone can belong to or support a political party that is responsible for slavery in the United States is beyond me and as a result I have very little respect for any Democrat or Democratic rhetoric, especially since the Democratic rhetoric of today is verbatim the Democratic rhetoric of the 1860's.

I'd say true. Going through the effort of giving a thumbs up or thumbs down shows that people have enough respect to at least read others opinions. That's all we can ask for.

Disagreement is not the same as disrespect.

I don't think any of us would be here if we didn't respect the opinion of others. What would be the point?

I have respect for FACTS ("truth" is for philosophers to figure out, I prefer FACTS), regardless of which side of the aisle they come from.

I have NO respect for trolls who ask rants with question marks on the end, who have no interest in learning anything, who wouldn't listen to anything other than what Limbaugh or O'Reilly say, and who blindly follow that "Political Party Loyalty, Over God and Country" which excuses everything the leaders they follow do or say.

So, while there are a few intelligent people in here asking and answering from BOTH Partys, for the most part I give the respect I get, no more, no less, but, Lord forgive me, I never DID learn to suffer fools in silence.

To answer your question;

False, I believe if you phrase your question correctly and do not insert bias or insults the people in this forum will respect your opinions here.

Agree with TG. Some may confuse sarcasm and satire with disrespect, at times, but I do tend to respect others' opinions -- there are exceptions, however :-)

There is by some. There is a very vocal minority who are intolerant and may give the sense that all of YA is like that. Try to ignore them. There are lots of good, intelligent, tolerant people here.

True. Other opinions are respected. Fox News talking points are not.

True. They certainly aren't a majority of users, but there are some who are consistently respectful of others- so it does exist.
