Amendment 9 - Construction of Constitution (1791)
The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

Meaning:
To degrade, to reduce the rank, to treat as unimportant other rights that are not listed/enumerated in the Constitution

One of the arguments against adding a bill of rights to the Constitution was that such a list might imply those were the only rights the people had.
The 9th Amendment is a provision to protect the rights “retained by the people,” but not written down in the Constitution. A example of this is the right "to privacy", which doesn't appear in the Constitution.
