The earliest forms of life did not lay eggs. Those creatures came later...evolutionary standpoint
God created all animals fully able to reproduce...creationist standpoint.
Both seem to point to the chicken.

I'm not Christian but the chicken (animal) had to come first because the Egg is a product of the Chicken.
A baby chick is actually the product of an egg. Then it grows.
I hope this makes sense!!

the egg. Chickens are not the only creature that can lay one. Reptiles can lay eggs. So classify the chicken as one butt ugly lizard(to another lizard that is) chickens are related to the reptile line in the evolutionary relationship because of certain other features like "neither have lips"

An egg would be incapable of surviving without the chicken so the chicken did.

Neither. A chicken won't just randomly pop out of an egg now ... it took a LOT of evolution first. I'd probably say the egg.

I would say the chicken because something had to keep the egg warm while you wait for it to hatch. and God just put the chicken there
