Never heard of page flickering. Have heard of "page flipping", which is a graphics programming technique. Basically, you show one page of memory, while you work on an offscreen page of memory. When it's time, flip the two pages, and repeat the process.

could happen when you loop a page refresh code endlessly. It flickers! Literally speaking.
