These states will still have delegates at the convention. Just not the ones elected in the primary. The national parties will credential a slate of delegates of party loyalists and they will vote at the convention. This might be the most exciting thing to happen at these scripted affairs. There might actually be a floor fight to see what group will be recognized and given credentials. Credential fights are nothing new. It happened during the Civil Rights movement, when racist slates of delegates were denied access.

FYI You are not voting for candidates in a primary. You are voting for delegates to the nominating convention. (Which BTW are only bound by the first ballot. If the convention can't choose anyone on the first try, they can vote for any nominee)

NOTE TO ALL POSTERS:This question has nothing to do with the Electoral vote or the general election, so stop bringing it up in this thread. This is about electing delegates to a nominating convention.

The parties are just blowing off some hot air in an attempt to restore some order, you have to admit that the Primary schedule has gotten a little out of hand.

All the electorate votes will be restored to both parties by the eventual nominee...they can't afford NOT TO.

They won't count in the Democratic primary, but they will count in the general election. And when it comes around next November, just remember how the Democrats treated you.

Vote for Rudy!

The popular vote will count, the electoral will be moot.
