Go to - Original Yamaha - your bike (XF1100F) - Crankcase Cover
# 12 is the oil level sight glass on the right crankcase cover.
Check the oil level with the bike straight up and down (as if you were sitting on it).
Start and run the bike for a few minutes to circulate the oil throughout the engine and fill the oil filter.
Turn off the engine and let it sit for a few minutes, to let the oil drain down to the crankcase.
If the oil level is correct, it will cover 3/4 of the oil level sight glass.
Remove the oil cap #21 to add more.
