Now I have to go pick up the package myself. They did not leave a notice either. The carrier did not even come by. Is there anything I can do? No one will be home and it requires a signature so I will have to go pick it up. My wife had taken the day off to be there when it arrived.

It happens rather frequently here. Ive sat at home by the door waiting on UPS to deliver, refreshing the tracking page every couple of minutes when it would pop up delivery attmept made no one at home. They do this to cut some time off their delivery route. Its wrong and they should not be able to get away with it. I had a UPS driver lie and deliver the package the NEXT day to a wrong address to make it look like he had mis delivered the day before. Its pathetic. Ive been sitting on my porch when the mail carrier would stick a delivery attempt made notice in my box and had to go down the street to find him and get my package.

Ask to see the log for the driver who was on that route that day.
Falsifying logs is a very serious offense.
IF that driver is lieing, he would be in very serious trouble.
