Depending on how "bad" she's slandering you. If it could hurt your credibility than I would sue her for "Defamation of Character" but you are going to have to be prepared to submit evidence/facts/proof. if it's nothing that crucial then ignore her. Some people can be very mean and nasty and will do or say anything just to get noticed... practice caution. Good luck!

it all depends on the situation. if none of your family or friends are listening to her, ignore her. but if she's causing you problems at work etc, then you have to take action. do you know why she's doing it? i'd talk to her first, if she'll let you, & see if you can resolve the problem. but if it's obvious you can't, tell her quietly you won't put up with it anymore. see a solicitor, or the police if it looks like stalking. a solicitor's letter often makes people realise how close they are to being in trouble with the law. good luck, diane.

if it's just stupid things that don't have any recourse, let it go. however, if it gets to the point where your're reputation or employment are being compromised, i'd contact a laywer and have him write a cease and desist letter.

unless it gets really out of hand, best just to ignore.
you could start logging the harrassment in case you need evidence later on.

I would ignore her. There is no reason to validate any of her "Claims".
