I live in the u.k and don't have air conditioning of any type. This incident happened 18 years ago and it was such a strange feeling when it happened that I have never forgotten it.

The most obvious answer is the AC. As others above me mentioned. however if you are absolutely certain the AC was off, the doors and windows are not drafty. Yes. I have lived in houses and worked in business where the windows would be shut but they were in bad repair and wind would blow like the window or door was open. If you are 100 percent sure no draft or ac or heating was on then there is a slight possibility you may have experienced something paranormal. But it is more likely you overlooked a draft or AC or heat.

I know situations where this has been witness by dozens of people at the same time, their hair was blown by the breeze in an enclosed hall with no a/c. Contact direct if you want further details. It is not weird nor is it a physical phenomena.
Elijah in the Bible had a whirlwind pass by, from God. There are other incidents in the Bible. Further explanations require details on what was happening in your life at that time.

I am sat at my computer near a shut window but have felt a blast of air past me several times I think it is to do with the window

I was sat in a really old pub close by to where I live, and I witnessed this as well. There was a lady with long hair sat close by, she was quite clearly sat in the draft as well as her hair went up and then fell again it was weird.. I would say it was a paranormal episode.
This is a subject that I have studied and have a very good understanding of, I love it.

i would have to say that it may have been a paranormal phenomenoa. i say this because i have had the heat on before everything was closed a cold, chilling air went past me. maybe it was a loved one looked after you hon. don't worry. hehe!

Yes the A/C, the heat, or the fan you turned on produces air current.
