anyone here think paypal sucks besides me?

This is why people should not use paypal:

1.Paypal lies about the exchange rates (in currancy)

2.Takes too much fee's

3.Scams sellers

4. Lets buyers easily get away with scaming sellers.

5. They take too long to respond to emails.

6. has the right too screw with peoples accounts.

7. does not give money that they owe you.

Is what paypal does legal?. Can they be sued?

At least some of what you say is true, and I'm glad somone else noticed.
Ebay converts foreign currencies to US dollars at one rate, and Paypal converts at a different rate that increases the cost of the item by 2 - 5%. Since eBay owns Paypal, there is no valid reason why this should be the case.
If someone pays you by Paypal with a stolen credit card, Paypal will come after your account to recoup the money, even though you were acting in good faith. That leaves a mark on your credit report, too.

Is it legal? I think the bit with currency exchange rates is a deliberate attempt to mislead, and you could certainly make a case.

I HATE Paypal!

I sold on Ebay for a few months and had a few people claim to not receive their items. When they open a claim, the seller has no recourse and no way to defend themselves. The only option you have in the "Resolution Center" is to refund or provide tracking info.

I had NEVER won a case. Paypal is the reason I quite selling on ebay. Anyone can get their money refunded by lying. It's difficult to sell on Ebay without it because since Ebay owns it they push hard for everyone to use it.

If you buy from users with like 100% and 12 000 times feedback You know you are safe If it are cards, don't spend more then a certain amount of money on each I try never to go over 10 euros for an offer And even if the price looks good, I will never buy from someone with less than 1000 feedbacks and less than 90%
