Put a few squirts on a wet sponge and rub into the sponge. I often starta at the hair line and work my way down as others start a the tneckline and work their way up. Cover covers and creeks.
If you feel a vein or a dark spot may be still showing. concealer often a lipstick style in the same tone will make a difference.
Then apply a few minutes later a light powder sweeping on, instead of dabbing. Dabbing will create cake effect.
Never apply a powder straight after as it may create the foundation to peel and look like you have dry skin Some add moisturer before full initial process.
Experiement. Its taking me years to defect whats perfect as you grow older it can be a lot harder, thats where concealers and anti agers creams kick in.
Often a good brand of concealer is a great starting point, also the right tone for your face and neck.

IMO, the best is Revlon ColorStay (in a cylinder shaped bottle with a black lid, don't get the one with the red lid!)
It dries like paint almost and if you get splashed in the face or lightly sweat, it won't run. Put some on your finger (shake bottle well first) and put small dots all over your face. Then QUICKLY but not hard, evenly rub in all over your face. Then QUICKLY take a round make-up sponge and rub/blend in around your hair line and chin, as it does dry fast and can't be corrected once it does. Finish with Estee' Lauder Double Matte powder. Wash your hands before touching any clothing. This foundation takes soap and water to wash off.
These two products are IMO the best combo for a flawless look that lasts several hours without wearing off and everyone I've ever reccomended it to loves it!

I am assuming you use a powder foundation if you don't use liquid. Start off with a moisturizer to hyrdrate the skin. Foundation will appear smoother.
I like to apply mine with a powder brush. I like the big brushes or a kabuki brush.
I swirl the brush onto the powder to get a nice amount on then tap off any excess and begin applying where you get the most redness and then buff it into the skin in a circular motion.
Repeat if more coverage is needed.

Have you ever tried mineral makeup? This looks and feels as if you're wearing NO foundation whatsoever and is so natural that you can sleep in it without harming your skin.
Try Arbonne - lots of shades to choose from and they even provide you with an application brush in the box. It is fantastic for covering blemishes, dark circles etc ...
Lots of my friends have said they'd never go back to ordinary makeup again after trying this...
It's worth a try ...

Few ways - with your fingers, drop some into your palm, rub together gently to warm slightly and apply just as you would moisturiser.
Use a foundation brush or sponge - make sure with this method you finish off with all downward strokes cos we are all hairy whether we like it or not!
Always over moisturiser - makes it easier to apply.

Just take the brush or sponge and brush it over your face. It's not complicated to apply foundation.

start from the out side of your face first but lightly, then move closer and closer to the middle of your face, and don't put in on heavily or it will look really powdery and you don't want that and have the foundation looks really close to your skin colour or it will look unnatural.
