yes I have been thru this. I am not one tohope that some one gets their carma back on them but if you are not pragnet then you have the flu. That means that if they are being jurks about this then they will get the same thing by next week and all the stuff that they said will now be in your court because there is a bad virus going around right now and it is contagiuos. So just tell them that they will be filling this way next week because they are making you come to work and they will catch what you have and at that point you may sit back a look at the out come and have your vendication. Good Luck sweetie and get some Air Born.

I am sorry you are feeling ill, I know exactly what you mean. I use to work at a gas station and I came down with the flu. Besides feeling awful I didn't want to get customers sick. When I called in my former boss had the gall to tell me I could sit at the counter on a bench (which we weren't allowed to do normally) but that I just had to go in. Needless to say I don't work there anymore!

Yes, this has happened to me too.
I get severe migraines constantly.
One day I was at work at my receptionist job with a headache so bad I was literally crying... tears were pouring down my face while I was trying to answer blaring phones... people were walking by the desk constantly and NOT ONE person said one thing... they *all* just walked by me without saying a thing. No one asked how I was or why I was crying or anything... they just didn't care.
It was hurtful and cruel. But what are you going to do?
It sucks, but that's the people you are stuck with at work.
Hope you feel better! Here's a hug for you!

I feel your pain. I was sick one time and my supervisor was really nice about it and said I could go but I had to tell HR. Which I did and they were really nasty about it and said I had to tell the general manager or I wasn't allowed to go, even though they could see that I was really sick and in pain. They refused to page him so I had to do it myself. I waited for half an hour for him to come and in the end thought, screw it, and went home. I didn't even feel sick by the end of it, maybe because I was so pissed off. I felt well enough that I could have stayed but I didn't, instead I went home and then called in sick for the next 3 days as revenge.

If you are that sick why even bother coming in to work?. First of all when your sick your not for any smart comments are mean gestures. Stay home til your better besides you don't want to get everyone else sick if what you have is contagious. Get well soon!

Yeah. I had pneumonia once and my boss threatened to fire me if I didn't come into work. So I did, out of spite and sat in his chair in his office unitl he came in. I told him that security told me to sit there so I wouldn't infect the others. He sent me home and never said a word about it from that point on.
