now i don't really know, but lately there's lot of its parody nowadays..

most of it is deductive, i guess

dark, black and white, night and fogs.. you can see alot of raining, awful, awful weather:)

It all started in the 40's-50's with some dark drama films.
Films such as:
"Lost Weekend".
"Gaslight".
"Sunset Boulevard".
"Double Indemnity".
It is going away because our younger generation is in to slasher flicks.
The characters are mainly tormented.
