Things take time Nardia. Work slowly and each day will open up more and more. But both have to be willing. Do you know if both are willing to work.
Have patience, keep hope.

Well, it's best to be honest at the beginning. So just sit down and have a good conversation with each other. Say how you feel, etc, things you need to get off your chest. Most of the time vampires will understand. If not at the very beginning, perhaps they're just the kind of vampire who needs a few days to think it over. ;)

"hypothetically" one it completely depends on which one is afraid & if that one is the one thinking of opening up or not.
if one is the female & waiting on the male in this day and age it is called face the fear. talk to the guy.
for the man it is called "Man UP!" & talk to the girl!
if it were a vampire resently staked & brought back by removal & feeding. one would not be asking in an open forum but ask a single outsider they have come to trust.

Maybe try to give him a little time to think until he's ready to open up with you. Patience is what the 2 of you needed, then if you're really meant for each other, only time will tell. Just keep on loving him and try to fathom his problem Nardia.

Open up slowly. Vamp or human doesn't matter nearly as much as you think it does. It only really comes into play if you like blood during sex. And really, who doesn't like to draw red lines down their lover's back? Open up a little, and see if it goes OK. If it does, open up a little more. People are harder to hurt than you think. And just because you hurt someone doesn't mean they'll leave. If they do, then you're better off without them, since you can't spend your whole life walking on eggshells to never hurt someone. You'll just grow to resent them, and that will kill a relationship faster than anything else. Good luck!

Vampires have feelings?
According to Buffy, vampires don't have a soul.
