I am amazed at all the BS answers you got. Average is 100 and standard deviation is 15. A 127 means you are in about the 90th percentile, which means smarter than 90% of other people your age. But, I don't know how accurate the Tickle on line IQ test is - so take it with a grain of salt.

Also, your IQ can certainly increase over time. Hard learning, in school, is the ticket. And do the daily crossword in the paper. No kidding. IQ is actually a college success predictor, that is what it was created for. It is supposed to measure your general intelligence, which is supposed to be independent from your education - but it is not so pure. The more complete your education, the higher you score on IQ tests. It's not a perfect system.

Also, to put the score range in perspective, IQs below 70 are considered mentally retarded or however is the politically correct way to say that now, ideationally challenged or whatever, gag me, and 96% of the population scores between 70 and 130. Admission to Mensa, the high IQ society, which requires a 98th percentile score, means 130 or higher. That would put you in the top 2% of the population. Hence I estimate top 10% for your score of 127. Could be top 5%, I didn't do the math.

Good strong score in any event.

Why have you posted this twice? Straight after each other, that's just silly, because you should at least wait, or post it on a different board! To be honest IQ, I think is over -rated - I dont know mine but I dont think it really matters if you're brighter than your dad or not. It seems a buit shallow, I would be more bothered about being a nice person, and you're oviously not stupid if this is your IQ, so why do you care, as long as you're clever enough to do alright in life (which may I add you dont have to have a high IQ to do!) does it really matter if you're brighter or not than your dad! Also asking if you are a genius is plain big - headed! Em x

The tickle.com test isn't very accurate, there is at least one study comparing IQ from online tests to sat/act scores and real-life (RIAS) tests that shows little correlation among them.

This means that your IQ of 127 from Tickle.com doesn't really mean anything. It probably means that you're somewhat above average, but you never know. It mainly means that you had fun taking an online IQ test.

Real IQ's range from 100-200 or so (200 is really high, einstein was probably around 180-190) for people of acceptable intelligence (aka not in special ed). But IQ varies depending on who administers the test and how a person is feeling that day (I have dumb days).

IQ 127 is V Good, the most best is 135-140 while lower side can get 70-80.

Your IQ will surely get better if you observe things analytically and keep on studying different topics.

Standardized tests for IQ use 100 to indicate average intelligence for your age, so a score of 127 means you are slightly above average for your age. Your IQ can increase over time if you enhance certain skills. Please note that it is better to get an IQ test administered by a psychologist rather than the the online things which are not true indicators of intellect.

The Wechsler Adult Intelligence Test is the most common, and test scores usually range from 90 to 110. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, the standard psychiatric reference, lists scores of 110 to 120 as "bright normal," 120 to 130 as "superior," and 130 and above as "very superior." One could reasonably equate "bright normal" with "smart," and "very superior" with "genius."

It's normal. It won't get better over time.I suggest you REALLY have an IQ of 110.Don't trust the internet tests. They just want you to buy their full results. It doesn't mean you are smart. It means you are not stupid.Kinda like "smarter".

127 is considered above average. The person that said she had 167 (genius level) is full of BS. I don't know my IQ and never wanted to find out. Most of the gifted and genius level people I knew where alcoholics and drug addicts and can't deal with reality. How you deal with people is what matters (And I make very good $$ doing so)

Yes, you are smart...Congrats!

Now don't waste your intelligence on country music, shopping at Wal-mart, or watching ANY reality TV.

Good job! I may have to visit tickle.com to test mine out.

It should get me through the rest of the work day, but my mind is spent by 3-4 PM. :( Maybe in the morning tomorrow!

Yes, that's smart. You might get a couple of points more but now that you know your potential, you have to make the most of it by getting the best education you can. Otherwise it won't matter much how smart you are.
