When prescribed exactly according to the patients symptoms not of the disease or disoder, Homeopathic Medicine work very quickly. In acute ailments which come on suddenly and with great intensity, Homeopathic Medicines cure as quickly perhaps quicker in Chronic ailments which develop over a long period of time, the progress is slow and gradual, the relief is quite quick but the cure takes time, the patient feels better almost withing two to three hours of taking the appropriate medicine prescribed according to the patients symptoms and starts to feel better and better with every repetition of the given remedy, the key is not the quantitty of the medication its the how many times it is repeated. For more on the curing principals of Homeopathy please browse through the sites given below and you will find a wealth of information on them.

About the nay sayers who have answered here, well they have never ever tried Homeopathy and will never experienced the magical cures it brings about, they will remain legal drug pushers all their lives without even a hint of an idea about how to really CURE. Curing is bringing the patient back to 100% perfect health not just the suppression of the virus and creating unknown complications in the patients general health Body and Mind and that is exactly what they have achieved so far, no CURES. What they are best at doing is calling people names and inventing fancy names for disease and disorders they can not cure with their ignorance and have no chance of curing as they are stuck to the old outmoded ways of "HEALING" which is a joke in itself and they have the audacity of calling themselves "REAL DOCTORS" what a joke on humanity and what they call science and medicine.
Homeopathy is the new school of medicine which cures without any side effects or complications and ourI have to laugh at their ignorance"DOCTORS" what an ironic joke, with due apologies but thats what they are. Their science has failed them as healers and its failing them in understanding Homeopathy, because what they call science is totally outdated and out moded and they have to adapt and accept the modern way of healing and its giving them the shakes because now it has become a threat to their livlihood of pushing chemicals for Medicine and hence you see all these paid sites and goons spreading disinformation about it as if their life dependss upon it. hahahaha tell me about http://www.quackwatch.com what a farce as it was exposed in the court and now they have the audacity to call the verdict of the court of law as lies, give me a break . My heartfelt smpathies and my pity for their ignorance and lack of knowledge.
Here is the testimony of the court in the case against the "DOCTOR" who runs quackwatch,
It say and please read, no need to take my word for it its all there in balck and white "Stephen Barrett of Quackwatch Exposed In Court Cases"
and here is the link :- http://www.canlyme.com/quackwatch.html
some more links to the utter farce being spread by Quackwatch, and ahem ahem (read Sarcasm) "DOCTOR" Stephen Barret :- http://www.quackpotwatch.org/

non of the articles I have read comment on how long it takes but speak to the issue of effectiveness.
"Sabal Serrulata effective in prostate cancer" Medline Feb 07
basic research items, boring to most, because experiments done on rats, etc.
Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology Journal back in '94 showed homeopathic medicine can influence the growth and development of invertebrates
European Journal of Pharmacology , April '87 ...homeopathic medicine "induced a statistically significant increase in the immune function, as measured in macrophages in the blood of mice"
Basic research is expensive and the study of homeopathic medicines does not yield a product which can be patented, so no money is to be made in demonstrating the effectiveness.
A medical journal..Rheumatology 20046; 43 (5) 577-82 (should you care to look it up) showed "Improved clinical status in fibromyalgia patients treated with individualized homeopathic remedies verses placebo". If you are unaccustomed to reading medical journals all the articles end with a disclaimer that "these results are preliminary and more research is needed in this area"
The discussions re: Homeopathy in YA has motivated me to locate a practitioner in my area in order to gain first hand experience.

I've had different response times with different forms and methods. I think the best answer is "it depends." For example, when I used arnica tablets for my stiff neck, they would work fairly quickly - 10 minutes, but it didn't last. When I used arnica gel, it was almost immediate and would last very well. A few applications and the stiff neck was gone. But, when we got drop of whatever it was for my sons night time accidents, it took almost a month for it to make a difference, but it did. Then, we will never know about the homeopathic vaccine alternatives that my daughter took to shut her college up. She's been medically vaccinated and got the disease for which she was vaccinted, so we won't do those any more. The only test we would have for the homeopathic would be expose her, and who wants to do that? The occyli whatever one that people use for colds (we don't) they say works immediately.
I did see recently on a message board that there are several rules you should follow when taking a homeopathic remedy, but I had never done any of them. So, it might be something to check into.
Sometimes homeopathic remedies don't work because they aren't the right one. They are rather specific, so you may need to check with a practitioner to get just the right one.

I don't know who you are going to believe here - all i can say is I've now been taking Homoeopathic medicine for 4yrs now - i was diagnosed by a professional and believe this makes a huge difference - having said that - a practitioner can only prescribe correctly if you give the information needed. It's best to tell them how you really feel and they will give the medicine best suited for your condition.
I can say without a shadow of doubt i am in a much better state of health than i was 4yrs ago - and i know it's the medicine that's got me here.
I started to feel better after 6 months - 2yrs into the treatment and i was feeling great. Menopause was horrific, Rheumatoid arthritis, headaches daily, were all getting me down - now I'm coping with life - gaining confidence daily - and facing my problems. Don't let anyone who hasn't tried it put you off - i have no reason to make this up - it can take time - but i promise you - with the correct diagnosis and a doctor you trust - you will feel much better.
Did you know the treatment is available on the NHS - my doctor recommended it a lot of yrs ago - and i refused until like i said 4yrs ago - i only wish i had listened to her all those yrs ago - i could have saved myself distress and pain. More ppl are being recomended by their doctors - i am very fortunate to have one who cares about my welfare.
I wish you all the very best - don't give up - i've got my life back - and you will too... : )

SoulQuack claims
"Homeopathy is the new school of medicine"
Ummm, NO. Homeopathy has not changed since Hahnemann INVENTED it in the 18th century. It is horribly OLD and has not advanced in over 200 years. REAL medicine is continuously advancing and bears no resemblance to the practice of 200 years ago. The "new school"?? PUHLEEZE!! The NEW school is scientific medicine. The old goats of homeopathy are still clinging to discredited ideas from 200 years ago.
"The ideas of homeopathy are scientifically implausible and directly opposed to modern pharmaceutical knowledge. Claims for the efficacy of homeopathy are unsupported by the collected weight of scientific and clinical studies. This lack of convincing evidence supporting its efficacy, along with its stance against modern scientific ideas, have caused homeopathy to be regarded as "placebo therapy at best and quackery at worst" in the words of a recent medical review."
Never trust in a medical system that was invented by a single person and that has not changed in over 200 years. You should instead trust in something that has the collected knowledge and efforts of millions of scientists and is continuously improving.
As far as how long homeopathy takes to work? Homeopathy takes forever - you can cure a cold in 3 days with homeopathic "remedies" (they are NOT "medicines"). Without the "remedy", it takes 72 hours.

finding the right homeopathic medicine by yourself is like finding a needle in haystack.
if a "good" homeopath disgnaoses you, it makes the world of diffierence.
recovery all depends on how severe the condition is & how ready you are for healing..for psychilocgical conditions also your surroundings will affect you, living in a depressing enviornment will not help with a depressive condition.

Homepathic medicine will NEVER work.
This is because it is the diluted virus: First, nothing has proven that giving this virus will improve your health; second of all, if it did then it is diluted so much that there isn't even one molecule left in the bottle. It goes on the principle that even though the molecules aren't there any more but the left a lasting imprint on the rest. It is a load of crap and anyone who gets better on it, i can guarantee, would have been better anyways.

I am afraid they have no active effect and function purely as placebos. The best description I have ever seen to describe what to expect came from an on-line medical journal. It likened using homeopathy to throwing a pint of beer into a reservoir and then drinking the water and expecting to get drunk!
