WoW is the #1 MMORPG out there; if you like that type of game, you'll be in heaven with WoW. There is so much to do beyond the usual fight/quest that it's hard to get bored. Lots of things to choose from and places to go, plus you can play with your friends.
And the subscription fee is $15/month (a little more if you live in a state where it is taxed, or a little less if you buy game cards). I don't think the fee is a big deal at all. Put it in perspective: for $15, you can buy a movie ticket and a bag of popcorn ... or you can have all the entertainment you want (in the form of WoW) for a month. Which one seems more enjoyable and cost-effective to you?

It is not only a good game, but the best. People that have played it and talk negative about it either sucked at it, never really understood how to play it, some people have small brain, or they are rude or pushy in the chat channel and no one wants to play with them, which makes for a boring game when doing it solo. Also, I hit level 70 about 2 months ago, and I feel like from 1-70 is only about 20 percent of the game, there is so much to do. Also it does not take forever to get the gear you need to be good like someone said. You run Battlegrounds and gain honor to get some of the best stuff in the game. In about 4 days of doing battlegrounds for like 4 hours a day, I have enough points to buy at least 1 new weapon or armor and sometimes 2, depending on if we won alot or not, more honor that way. You don't have to just run instances to get good things.

No. It's a work simulator if you get addicted to it. And you have to pay for it instead of getting paid. It offers nothing new to gaming in general. It never really ends either. MMO games in general are stagnant and most of them require too much of your time if you ever want to be anything in them or have any "neat" things in the game.

its a good game at first but once you get to the highest lvl it gets kinda boring from there on unless you are really really good which takes a while cause you have to run every instance to get every item just so you can get into another instance and grab those items

i joined the game as my hubbby was on it constantly! it takes a bit of getting used to but once you know what you are doing its very addictive and great fun. but be warned it can take over your life!!!! there are also lots of great ppl on there we have a real laugh!
