My friend just got a 80thousand dollar a year job fresh outta college. I'm happy for him, but damn.

As with many words, the meaning of "hater" depends on how you use it. "Jealousy" and "envy" are not hateful words, and, since you claim to be happy for your friend, you are certainly not a "hater", at least in this regard! ;)
Presumably, his (?) credentials and capabilities got him the job (either that or his filthy rich, executive relative got it for him!). If you're on good terms with your friend (again, what do you mean by "friend"? A passing acquaintance? A life-long buddy?), you might want to ask - - kiddingly or seriously - - if there's room for you at his new job! As long as you don't expect him to give you one, instantly or ever, (i.e., if he says that he'll look into it, but never mentions it, afterward), you won't be disappointed (successful people rarely share their good fortune, no matter how well they know you! Or is it "fortunate people rarely share their successes"?). ;)
In the meantime, instead of concentrating on your friend, you should look out for yourself, and try to get the best job you can! (and, no, your mother didn't make me say that!) ;)

do you wish you were in his shoes?? would doing that job make you happy? Do you think that he is worth 80thousand for he job he is performing? if yes then yes your a hater!
