I live in Canada and was wondering if anyone could answer this question. A friend of mine is leaving her husband and was wondering if she is liable for half of all his debt. All the credit cards and the mortgage are in his name but they acquired all of this debt while married. Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

check your laws there but creditors don't care what ever they want there money no matter what the courts say or so that's what has happened with a friend of mine even after it was ordered to be split the guy has the debt its in his name an hes the only one they will go after but that's here check the laws
