congradulate people on starting their period. I mean seriously, I say sorry. Don't fool girls, it sucks. Do you agree?

We dont have too many rights of passage for girls before they turn 18 and become legally an adult.
Having your reproductive system start up is biologically a sign of maturity.
Considering the number of posts here on Yahoo Answers about "..when will I start" - lots of girls are anxious for the more grown up status or recognition of maturity.

Yes it sucks by what happens. And no it doesn't too. It's a good thing. It's a transition from being a little girl to the beginnings of developing into a woman. Since girls that age are already acting liek they are grown up, a period is something to really shows their body is gettgin there too.

I'm a guy but I would congradualate a young lady on getting her period because to me its a very inportant momment in a young girls life the day that god deceides she is to take on the transition of beoming a woman the day that god begins to prepare her body to further populate his earth I see a young lady getting her period as a benchmark in her life the opening and closeing of a chapter but then again I am a guy

I got mine when I was 10 years old, and women were congratulating me on it! Did they really think I was happy about it? I know some girls who are 15 though and they can't wait to get it so to each his own I guess.
