I want to get a hoodie for a 21-y.o. guy... he is 6'4", about 205 lbs.

He usually wears large shirts, but I wasn't sure if guys tend to wear hoodies a size larger or not...? I just don't want it to be too tight and uncomfortable. Thanks for your help!

Lol probable. i'm slightly obese and a guy's small sweatshirt replaced into suuuuper dishevelled on me--I probable might've needed an x-small or in line with possibility even an xx-small. So except you're incredibly obese, definite, it is going to extra healthful.

I'd go with XL....most people like their sweatshirts a little bigger!
