On the focus, the field, or the clarity
Artistic machines with levers and springs
Why do they refuse solidarity?
Now’s not the time for bitter denial
Or arguing points in yours’ and my style
Artistic children that cleverly sing
Why must each shot become such a thing?
Don’t tell me about “How meticulous”
It just makes you sound so ridiculous
Artistic excuses that will often bring
Our own special high mediocrity

Whoa! You may have thrown me with 'solidarity'...I'm thinking political right now...too late for coffee, maybe CSI.
The entire poem CAN be interpreted both ways...political and an unsimple camera/photographic thing.
Right good poem you have there...should be submitted!
With a plain, simple 35mm, never a problem...if I get guff about how THEY want their picture taken, I just put the camera by my shoulder, and say"Oh look, what a low-flying jet!" When they look back, with various prize-winning looks on their clocks, I take that picture!
Artistic excuses are plain, ordinary excuses...ignorable.
You DO have one good poem here! Holds the reader's attention all the way. Good work!

I actually interprit this as a confused teen who is thinking that no one cares and feels like he is looking at his life through the lens of a camera and everything seems fuzzy.
