have been reading up on the Aries baby and it seems that they are a handful and like to do things their way. I'm a Pisces which makes me a really sensitive person, understanding yes, but i suppose in the category of an Aries baby, it would make me a pushover...

I read that they dont respond well to "no" and being told not to do something so I was just wondering, for the later years... terrible twos and up, how do you discipline an Aries child? How do you get them to listen to you? And what are your experiences with their "tantrums" that they sometimes throw when they want your attention?

*this question is for those persons who have experience with Aries children or similar personalities. Please do not respond with "it's not about the zodiac sign but the child or how it's raised" I am only asking this to people who can identify their children's personalities with this sign. If you do not believe in Astrology, please refrain from answering. Thanks*

You're having a baby. Enbrace it and be happy. Your stressing out before it's even born... you're doomed

How about just letting the baby be born? Since a personal horoscope chart consists out of more than just the *star sign*, chances are slim that your baby will be a typical Aries.

Besides, stressing is no good for the baby while it is still inside your womb. Or do you want it to respond bad to stress situations himself?

Young Aries

If a child behaves in a way that is distinctive of the personality associated with Aries, he or she will have a tendency toward the characteristics listed below.

Behavior and Personality Traits
The typical Aries child:
* has a strong, active body and mind
* has a temper when thwarted
* usually walks and talks early
* wants attention and to be in charge
* can be lazy until someone claims to be better
* is generous with toys
* has a vivid, practical imagination
* can achieve much in a short time
* is normally very affectionate
* has an inexhaustible curiosity
* gets over childhood fevers very quickly

Bringing Up Young Aries

Most Aries children are very direct about their likes and dislikes. They are also very determined to do things their way. Saying "No" doesn't work, nor does persuasion, coaxing, or using other obedient children as examples. Young Aries children of any age respond best to a challenge. Tell him he's probably just slow at organizing his toys or tell her that it isn't her fault that she can't do something very well and young Aries goes into action, to prove he or she is better than anyone else at anything -- including doing the things they don't like.

Young Aries Needs

Adventure, opportunities to find out, to try things, take charge, solve problems, and to be a winner. Above all, Aries needs to know that he or she is loved and valued. Big hugs and reassurance, especially after emotional bumps, are essential, despite the brave face they put on.

What To Teach Young Aries

At school, Aries children take the lead in every way and will react against authority. So teach them when to obey by making it a challenge.

Because Aries youngsters are so adventurous, they ignore dangers, so parents need to be extra vigilant about hot pans and fires. As they become old enough, show them how to handle dangerous situations. Don't forbid them to do things, or they will take it as a challenge. They need to be guided gently, with logic and praise, not ordered about. Ask them with a smile and they will respond with increasing confidence. Teach Aries to handle their own money from a very early age. Explain the rights of others too, as young Aries dominates without knowing it. They will have a few falls and show their fiery temper often, but they recover very quickly from both and come out smiling.

When an Aries child is born to a Pisces parent, their relationship is often mutually beneficial, and they take care of one another. Aries is a strong Sign who follows impulses without worrying about the consequences. Pisces is quieter, one of the dreamers of the ZodiacIn many ways, they contrast and seem unrelated on the surface. However, they care for one another and take a legitimate interest in one another's lives. They are each able to fulfill the other's needs and provide the support and the advice to keep one another afloat. Pisces' gentle guiding hand is a comfort to Aries' headstrong ways, and the Aries child can often liven up their parent and keep them young. Pisces, who enjoys lending a hand, gets their greatest joy from helping others. Aries, on the other hand, is the one who comes up with the ideas in the first place and assigns roles to other participants. Pisces can help Aries relax a little and learn to be more passive in approach, while Aries teaches Pisces to go out into the world and begin to take the kinds of risks that lead to real payoff. Their different aptitudes and interests help Aries and Pisces work on the same project and achieve a positive end. The best aspect of the Aries-Pisces family relationship is that they really have a lot to learn from each other. Pisces shows Aries how to empathize and care; Aries teaches Pisces how to make dreams happen rather than just thinking about it. The ability of each to provide what the other needs makes theirs a truly reciprocal and healthy family relationship.

My son is an Aries and he is a wonderful, creative, independent minded child. I know you don't want to hear that the star sign has really nothing to do with it. But really our children are like sponges, the live and breath by example. We as parents make our kids what they are . Weather we like to admit it or not. When your child comes, try not to look for there flaws or judge them by them. Just love him and help him excel. Good luck!

I am a Aries and i am not going to lie to you we are very diffucult to disiplne but only if you take the wrong approach. Dont take things away from us (phones,music,friends). Thiat will only make us mad, then you got big problems.

Here is some more information about Aries:Aries live life head first; after all, those horns on your head are not just for fighting. Your headstrong nature can make you a "battering ram" and woe is the person who stands in your way.

Aries are noted for courage and leadership qualities, primarily because you are nearly always ready for action. The need for excitement pushes you into new territory -- and as long as you are ahead of others while demonstrating confidence, chances are that they will follow you. As self-ordained leader of the pack, Aries fight for what you believe to be important. But it's not that Aries are fearless. Your courage is more of a commitment to face your fears and overcome them.

Aries motto is "Ready, fire, aim!" It may be backwards for others, but you'd rather figure out what to do while you are doing it. Impulsive actions, however, can bring you your share of trouble. While others are gathering information to make informed decisions, you are already on your way. As such, you could suffer from false starts. In fact, you Aries are so good at starting things that you can be off onto your next project before completing the previous one. As you Aries mature, you learn to slow down your reaction time in order to think about the consequences of your actions.

Element: Fire
Fire signs are naturally warm. A fire gives light and heat, but it doesn't get depleted as others feed on its warmth. One candle can bring light to a room and it won't burn any faster if ten people read from its light than if there was only one. Fire doesn't plan it next move; it isn't logical. It simply is in the moment and will burn what fuel is available without judgment or forethought. For this reason fire signs can successfully rely on their intuition and survival instincts.

The fire of Aries is spontaneous and hot. It's like a pile of dry kindling that burns fast but cannot sustain itself for the long haul.

First House: Self
The First House symbolizes our physical body and our personality -- how we appear to the outer world. It's not necessarily who we are; it's what we bring to a situation and how others see us. It represents our childhood, the beginning of any activity or even the start of a new relationship. It's not, however, about the other person; it's about how others see us. No doubt, everything starts with the First House.

Key Planet: Mars
Mars is called the "Angry Red Planet." In Greek mythology, Mars was the God of War. But Mars isn't only about fighting; it's about going somewhere, going anywhere. If someone is in our path, then, perhaps we must fight with them in order to keep going. Mars is like the gas pedal of our bodies. It's represents how we move forward in life. In any chart, Mars offers clues as to how we express our basic energy. As the key planet of Aries, it reminds us to "just do it."

Aries Greatest Strength:
Your courage to overcome fear
