Man that's very unusual. If I lost 40 pounds I'd be worried.

I have a friend who lost 154 pounds in 4 months. He still weighs about 200 pounds though. He had a serious medical problem with a twisted bowel and other complications coming from that.. so far three operations. He is back on solid food now. For a while all he could eat was miso soup!

You should see your doctor. Rapid weight loss is not normal.

Have you been evaluated by a doctor? Significant weight loss in a short span of time can indicate health problems such as diabetes. Have some blood work done to rule out illness.

Do you have any other strange symptoms? Like constant thirst? Hungry all the time. Frequent urination? Fatigue, blurry vision, irritability?

You've lot a lot of weight in a short time and that is another symptom of diabetes.

Cancer, diabetes, bowel conditions,.....the list goes on. The only things you can do is get yourself diagnosed properly and go from there. Losing that much weight could be very serious. Make an appt now.

Hey, we're of same age but I have an autoimmune disease. My problem is weight gain (side effects of my meds) so how did you lose those pounds? I'd like to know, but if you yourself don't know how that happened, go see a doctor to make sure you have nothing to worry about. :)
