where is oil filter located on a 1994 mazda 2. O L?

I believe it's right in the middle of the block on the firewall side. Shoul be able to reach it from the pass. side.

If it's anything like my Mazda ....'it took me longer to find the filter that it took me to change the oil'...
I eventually found it underneath the back of the engine above the exhaust, but I have an inspection pit, for owners who don't, it would have been very difficult to find, and even more difficult to change.
