For the most part a very well done movie (although I didn't quite get the Justin Timberlake as a badass thing..... kind of like casting Rosie O'Donnel as a bikini model but anyway)
I am haunted by the story and besides the obvious miscasts it seemed very well done.
Anyone know??

Yes it was based on a true story. Look up Jesse James Hollywood on Wikipedia.

yes it was, although they weren't allowed to say so, so they made slight changes to everyone's name like Johnny truelove's chararcters real name was jesse james hollywood. It was a really sad story and I am haunted by it too. I cried alot when I watched it. :(

Yeah it was, I don't remember the exact story but I remember reading that it was based off a true story.

That was the dumbest movie...I couldn't even finish it.
