They want to have their own child, own blood, hopefully looks like them. Lots of reasons.
I was in foster homes from 5 to 15- when I moved out on my own. I am very *for* adoption, not of just babies but older children also. It sucks because I am 21 and in college all of my friends they have their familes to spend time with at christmas. I always wish I had that. It's not really fair that once you are emancipated or you age out of the system you have no one to be there for you/with you if you are not one of the lucky ones that get adopted. I do have children of my own and I am very lucky/thankful that I have them BUT at the same time I want a mother of my own to go to for advice and so on. It would be great to have that. BTW- before I am all attacked on here- again. I am NOT trying to complain- I just think that people should consider taking another child out of that situation. One that is already in this world and just needs some love.

I myself is having problem concieving, I have no problem adopting but in my country it is hard to adopt, also I and many others would do anything to conceive so that we could no how it feels to carry something for nine months, so we can no how it feels to have a baby growing in them, we want to know how it is to go threw labour, we want to be able to push a child out in pain and then at the end have a bundle of joy of your own in your arms. Adoption isn't anything bad but most ladies would consider trying for their own

Because there is the hope of having a child that is created from the love they share with their partner. I know that adopted children are just as loved but for many there is nothing like creating a child from your own blood, carrying it or 9 months and giving birth to it yourself.

some women may want the experience of pregnancy, not only parenthood.
i know a few couples that tried only basic fertility treatments, and when those failed did adopt.

I guess for some ppl,it's not that thye don't want to consider it,BUT it's nothing like carrying your own baby and giving birth to him or her and watching them grow looking like you or hubby. But I guess if that's they're last choice then they would adopt.BUT only as a last option.

The immortality and basic instinct to pass on your genetic code. Some people have it totally ingrained in their character without even noticing that this is what is important to them.
I don't understand it either. I'd rather save the $30,000 it takes to do IVF and buy a house.

I am going through IVF next Spring..if it does not work then I will consider adopting, but my parents always said you never know what type of genes you are getting in a child when you adopt. So I would try to have my own child with mine and my husbands genes first and then look at other resources first.

Because some people want to give birth to their own flesh and blood.
