nope in this forum we keep BUNS inthe oven not GUNS

I DON'T keep a gun in the house.
1. I've never felt the need to have one.
2. I'm expecting my first child this Sunday, and don't want to risk what could happen when God forbid, my son finds it and thinks it's some sort of "toy"
3. Even if I had intended on buying one and keeping it in the house, I wouldn't know where to get my hands on one.
4. I don't think NY allows the keeping of a gun in the house legally.
5. Real question is WHY NOT not keep a gun in the house?

Yes my husband and I both have guns in safes. We own four hand guns and three rifles. The electronic safe requires a code, a key, and fingerprints to open so we feel as though the children are safe...besides the safes are hidden so the kids don't know where they are.

My dad had 3 guns, but my mom got rid of them when he passed away in Sept. I would definately keep a gun in my house.

NO....I'm too neurotic to own a gun!! The first time I got freaked out over a noise I would probably end up shooting my husband or my dog or something. Best to just not have it and I can't do any damage with it!

Not sure why you posted this in the pregnancy section, but I do not have a gun, so I do not keep one in the house. I don't have a problem with them, but I don't own one.

funny you ask i repair guns so i have had at the most hundreds of guns in my house at a time and i know how to use them very well aslo... lol pregnancy section

We do, as my husband is a hunter, and we like having one for protection.
It's unloaded and locked away. We don't have any kids in the house, but keep it safely put away anyway.

Yes, several. And they are locked in a gun cabinet, unloaded, and all have child locks on them as well!
