Thank you for the great answers so far. I know the guy I'm going on a date with, so that is a little reassuring. He is my brother-in-laws friend that i see two or three times a year.

It was a little awkward, but then again sitting down and getting to know any person can be a little awkward at first. Go in with your eyes open and don't have really high expectactions---take it for what it is---a date. I wouldn't get into the heavy issues in your life either, like the divorce, etc. Even if you're asked about it, I wouldn't get into too much detail. Keep it lighthearted and fun---that's what dating is about. Kissing won't happen until you're comfortable, and if that happens on the first date, then you've found yourself someone worth seeing again! Good luck to you!!!

I had soooo much fun. We went to a comedy club and then out for a mile high pie after....love chocolate!!! I didn't kiss him...the first kiss after I separated was with a guy about six months later....i am married to him now...he is smart, sexy and I think really hot...when he kissed me he thought I was having an asthma attack because I couldn't catch my breath...it was really funny. I don't have asthma.

Nervous as a school girl.....giggled and played with my hair....I didn't kiss the first date.....didn't do anything.....Hold off....you don't want to give your heart away to a Rebound. :-)

Just trust your instincts and this time, do not let him push you into anything you are not ready for. Make sure you are dating a man. No more "guys" for you.
Good luck. I will pray for you.
