“We’ve got to make sure that people who have more money help the people who have less money. If you had a whole pizza, and your friend had no pizza, would you give him a slice?”

Scary.

The scary part is being forced to share. I don't mind sharing, but I don't want my big brother to come over, grab MY pizza and give to someone else.

Soooo...you wouldn't give your friend a slice of pizza? I'm not going to lunch with you.

If Mr. Obama wanted to more accurately convey what liberalism is all about, he would have told the child:

"If you had a whole pizza, it's not really yours. The government has first claim on all your money and property. This is, as President Clinton once explained, because you might not use it right. And the government is here to make sure you do what's right.

"Remember when I told you we've got to make sure that people who have more help the people who have less? 'Making sure' means using force when necessary. For people who won't willingly get with the program we have a special place; it's called jail, a bad place for bad people who can't afford presidential pardons.

"So we're going to take away quite a bit of your pizza and give it to someone else. It's remotely possible that person is your friend who has no pizza, but it's more likely you've never met the person. Maybe it'll be someone very hungry. Maybe it'll be someone very needy. Maybe it'll be someone who just doesn't want to work for his own pizza, but believes in his heart that he still deserves some. Heck, maybe it'll be an illegal immigrant, I mean, undocumented worker. They've got their rights, too.

"The point is: who gets it is none of your business and you have no right to know. Your job is to give up as much of your pizza as needed to show how compassionate we are. Surely we wouldn't want to be the only large, industrialized nation that doesn't guarantee free universal pizza to all its citizens.

"By the way, in addition to the pizza we'll give to someone else, we'll have to take another large slice. That's for administrative expenses. It's needed for the people who operate essential human services like pizza redistribution. Yet another slice will go for the fraud, waste and mismanagement that are a significant part of every large bureaucratic program.

"If there's anything left, it's all yours. Now don't you feel better knowing how many people you're helping?"

That's actually a pretty good description of what the agenda of the left is.

The only thing he failed to mention, is that the friend is some 35 year old that doesn't have pizza because he wont do what it takes to get the money to buy it.

Also, there's 15 friends, not just one, so the poor kid that bought the pizza pays and still goes away hungry.

lol? I don't understand what you are saying is scary. If you look at the class system from a logical point of view, it is the poor's hard work that has allowed the rich to acquire so much wealth. So technically, a good portion of the rich are parasitic and have syphoned the wealth out of the poor.

Also, we are all American, we are family, we have to look out for each other. How does not sharing help the mother, America, if the children are suffering because their basic needs aren't being met?

This correctly illustrates the difference between Republicans and Democrats. One will force the kid to give up the pizza; the other would let the kid sell the pizza to the highest bidder.

The difference between conservatives and liberals is the liberal thinks there should be a law forcing the rich to share (i.e, higher taxes) where the conservative thinks the sharing should be voluntary through charities.

In other words, Liberals are socialists. And they would have you believe conservatives are mean people.

I encourage anyone to compare the amount of charity given by liberals and conservatives. Liberals don't donate; they demand the rich people give it up.

Pizza (nor anything else) doesn't grow on trees. I know it's hard for conservatives to admit this, for then your entire economic philosophy would be revealed as unworkable.

The ancients seemed to understand scarcity. It boggles the mind that modern conservatives, especially Christian conservatives, haven't grasped this fundamental truth.

[ All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need. ] The Holy Bible (NIV) Acts 4:32-35

Selfishness seems to be running rampant in America these days. What ever happened to the generous, caring Americans that I used to know? The neocons have really screwed us all.

The quote was taken out of context, what he went on further to say, is "look you little money grubber, give me a slice of your pizza or I will let Hillary win the election and we will get all your future pizza's too."
