Yes, it is posible to get pregnant if you only have your period every year and so.
Read this:
Since a woman releases an egg 12-16 days before her expected period, it is possible for women to get pregnant without having periods. Women who are not menstruating due to a certain condition (i.e.…low body weight, breastfeeding, perimenopause) risk the chance of ovulating at any point. For those who want to conceive, the lack of periods could make it more difficult to know the timing of ovulation if you are not charting temperature and cervical fluid changes. But if you are not having periods and wanting to prevent pregnancy, a form of contraception should be used since there is no way to know when ovulation will occur.

I would recomend seeing a gyno or a naturopath immediately. Your period is caused by an egg dropping into your uterus. If the egg is unfertilized within like 3 or 5 days then you get your period and your uterus sloughs itsself. you bleed. If you're not getting your period you may not be ovulating regularly (dropping eggs). Try taking Vitex. Its an herbal supplement that helps to regulate menses. You can get it at most supplement stores. Also, pick up the book " A cooperative method of natural birth control." Its about how not to have babies, but you could use it the other way around. Its by Margaret Nofziger. Also, stay away from the pill! It can mess up your reproductive system like whoa! I know it's not popular to say that, but especially if you want a baby, I would not reccomend it.

Yes, it's possible.
But know that you should bleed at least 3/4 times a year just to keep your uterus healthy. I wouldn't go a whole year with just one period.
You may want to talk to a GYN and see what options you have. Also, if you address whatever the problem is, you may be able to become pregnant even sooner... if getting pregnant is what you want.
Good luck.

I thought I was the only one that had a menstrual cycle only once per year. From the time I started I only had one cycle per year. I started dating a guy and after four years of dating this same guy I got pregnant, never used a condom or pills or anything, but finally got pregnant. My cycle is normal now but I've only gotten pregnant once.

It's not natural, and certainly not healthy, to have your period once a year unless it's caused by some kind of birth control. Sounds to me like you need to talk to a doctor.
And yes, it's possible to get pregnant.

you must have a problem with the maturing of your reproduction organs, this happens to some girls, if you get your period so rarely... you still can get pregnant, but u hsould consult with a doctor so he can tell you exactly when, especially because you hardly get it. Some people with this problem cant ever get pregnant though. U sould consult it with a professional
