When its all over, and I can pull the decorations down, and heave a sign of relief. I hate it! I hate all the commercialisation, they hype, the pressure, the unhealthy eating and drinking, the adverts on tv, the darned lousy piped music in the shops, the drunks, the desperate people getting them selves into further dept. Its all crazy !!!
How many go to Mid night Mass and celebrate the birth of Christ, which at the end of the day is what it is all about, not many I do know. Not even me.....Happy Christmas anyway.

I am looking forward to being with family. After this past year i have rediscovered the value of a family. I am recently divorced and last christmas my ex isolated me from my mom, and it was the worse time i remember, very lonely. But, what it taught me was the value of my family. I love christmas bc it is a time to be with my family. Forget the presents, i just want to be with them. Thats all that matters..

Christmas eve is the best time for me. The shops are shut, and if I have forgot to buy something its tough.
We get the kids to bed, sort the gifts then relax with a nice glass of something alcoholic.
Christmas eve is the most relaxing part of christmas.

My son's reaction! He's just turned one.
He was only a tiny, three week old newborn last Christmas so it all went over his head. He's still too young to understand but he's going to be fascinated with all the lights, tinsel and wrapping paper!

This is something specific, and not my number one thing, but just one of the smaller things I like....
whoever gives me my first Christmas candy cane. I don't know why, but this is important to me, and I always remember.
I also try to buy that person a special gift.
I just love candy canes, that's all.
