OF course, I remember all my loves...don't you? And I remember them with fondness and a smile. As a couple, we broke up for a reason, but I do not dwell on the reason, only the good times...that does NOT mean I want them back, it just means they hold a special place in my heart and always will. Perhaps, when we are down, we tend to think back on those times as better than they really were. When we are happy, we keep things in perspective....just a matter of our mood at the time.

I think the first one always holds a place in your heart, but then when you finally meet the one that you truly love with all your heart and soul.. (my husband) you wonder how you ever really thought you loved that "first" love.... true just puppy love in third grade a boy put a ring in my desk... I didn't like him so i gave it to my friend Bea... I can still see the look on his face I know now that was hurt! He died in a swimming accident and I think about that day, and how much I hurt him... even though it was only 3rd grade!

Now, Exactly which first love are we talking about here? I had a few but at different levels. In 3rd grade it was Lynn ... I thought he was BETTER than sliced bread. All we did was sit and look at each other in class... Next it was high school. My sister's class was across the hall from mine and there was a cute guy in her class named "Bugsy" and I had this huge crush on him. All I did was look at him across the hall. (He looked out the window) So much for THAT first love. Then I had my first kiss at 16 after a basketball game. "Stubby" and I puppy loved each other for about a year. Even my sister said he was cute. My next first love and my (wink) real first real love at 19 was Leon. Nope! Don't ever want to see him again... LOL

Bobby in the second grade. We were "in love" for only a few days, but my children all know the story.

First true love-36 years ago. Steve. We had a child together (he's 35) and they just met last year. He and I have e-mailed a few times, glad it didn't last.

If you mean that other first...no love was involved, but I do remember his name.

Sure I do. He came late in my life and he was the first one I really felt like; " ahh...this is what love feels like"....Walter...I miss him still after many years. ( and now look what you've done...I'm crying....) It's ok though, it's worth it .......... remembering some really beautiful times in my life. We were friends ONLY for 20 years before we realized one day on the telephone that we were now very much in love. Sweet times....

Yes because we split 30 years ago and I just recently found out that she died 2 years ago. She lived her life as I did mine, but I still grieve.
