docs always asked if i've been prego before. I know it's important cause they say second time labor should be shorter, faster, you should show faster with second pregnancy etc etc etc)
my question is: i had a stillborn almost 2 years ago born at 21 weeks gestation. so since he wasn't full term, am I still considered to be my second pregnancy? do all those things (second time labor should be shorter, faster, you should show faster with second pregnancy etc etc etc) apply to me as well?

First, I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. In my personal opinion, because you were pregnant before, this will be your 2nd pregnancy but it will be your 1st birth. So I don't know if the shorter and faster labor scenarios will play here. In my personal experience, it took me 27 hours to give birth to my 1st child and with my 2nd it took 3 DAYS!! Please don't believe the childbirth myths out there. Every woman's body is different. Good luck and God bless with this pregnancy and I hope everything turns out well for you. P.S. and hopefully not much pain, LOL!

All pregnancies are considered, no matter how long you were pregnant.
Second time labors will be totally different for you, because you delivered so early in the pregnancy. Labor could be like you had never delivered before.
Your uterus did not get all 'stretched out' like a full term pregnancy, so you probably won't show any faster; unless you start at a heavier weight, or gain more weight at same gestation.
Second etc. pregnancies put you at different risks in different areas of pregnancy - not just change the length of labor.

Yes, this would be your second pregnancy. Tell your doctor that the first ended in a stillborn. I'm sorry to hear about your loss.
All pregnancies are different, so you won't know how labor/showing/etc. will be until it happens. Good luck, hun!

It is very important for your doctor to know your full obstetric history. I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks and my doctor considers that a pregnancy, so I've been pregnant 4 times previous to this one but have only had 3 children. They need to know so that they can take precautions during this pregnancy. It also factors into whether your pregnancy is considered high risk or not.

First off, I am so sorry for you loss. Yes. They want to know how many pregnancies you have had period. It doesn't matter the outcome of the pregnancy miscarriage, stillborn or live birth.

if you didnt have to give birth to your baby naturally (vaginally) then the chances are the labour wont be quicker. as you were so far gone with 1st, you prob will start showing sooner and they do count it as 2nd preg. when i had my 2nd baby (3rd pregnancy) they as about previous pregs and they even have to know about miscarriages etc. all the best!

no two pregnancies or labours will feel the same.i advise you to think like it's your first and be ready for any pain but also behave like you've been doing it all your life.if you can do that,i'm sure you'll handle it well
