No good rock? Did you check every genre? Indie? Hard rock? Garage rock? Heavy Metal? If you can't come up with anything, you really need to expand your tastes. There's more to rock than emo.

Well, looking back over my purchases...

Worst: The Wildhearts - S/T (A total letdown. It's available on eBay if anybody wants to take a crack. I guess the magic disappeared with the heroin addictions.)

Best: Sixx:A.M. - The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack (Tough call, because I've discovered a lot of new artists this year, but when I look over the list, this is the one album that really grabbed me and just wouldn't let go. I still can't keep it out of the CD player.)

NP: "Chip Away the Stone" - Aerosmith

Best:

The National - Boxer
Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga
LCD Soundsystem - The Sound of Silver
Okkervil River - The Stage Names
The Arcade Fire - Neon Bible

Worst:
I don't know. I don't buy bad albums. I listen online first. Based on singles on the radio, Fergie is producing some of the most painfully, embarrassingly bad music I've ever heard.

Hmmmm. I haven't heard them all. But The National's "Boxer" (indie rock) and Radiohead's "In Rainbows" are the best ones I have listened to. No idea what the worst would be.

best of 2007? like the best artist that came out with records this year?

Best: foo fighters-Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, Velvet Revolver- Libertad(oh i forget about White Stripes. that one was good too. icky thump)

Worst: Avril Lavigne- best damn thing, fall out boy- infinity on high, good charolette (forgot the name of album) marilyn Manson (forgot the name but didnt care) Kid rock(another one i didnt bother looking up the name)
well there was a couple of horrible albums that came out this year. i would say either MM or Avril Lavigne take the prize for it though.

Well, my personal favorite of the year was "An Ocean Between Us" by As I Lay Dying. I nearly peed myself listening to the song "Within Destruction."

It's hard to say which was my least favorite, considering the majority of music released this year was crap... But then again what's new?
