Not only are they washed up but have also been pressed, folded and sitting on a rack at your local Salvation Army store. Oh yeah, I did see John Rzeznik do the halftime show for Detroit Lions over Thanksgiving. He's looking as worn out as a '72 Pinto.

Ok, what the hell? What is wrong with you people? The Goo Goo Dolls are NOT washed out, they happen to be the greatest band in this entire world....seriously!!! I LOVE the Goo Goo Dolls, they have honestly changed my life, I love all of their music, everything that they do, they are just plain amazing. And person who said bring on the fairs....What the hell, Fergie plays at fairs, are you saying that she's washed out? I don't like her but I am sure that many people would disagree with my opinion on that. The Goo Goo Dolls have never changed for somebody else, they have always played and wrote what is in their hearts. They have made and continue to make brilliant, inspiring music for people everywhere. I just wish that more bands were like them because they have stayed together for so long and I seriously couldn't live without their music! And whoever said that Johnny Rzeznik is ugly, I will beat you with a rubber hose....Are you honestly blind? Have you not seen the man? He is damn fine and this is coming from a 16 year old. Yeah, he's pretty much amazing so there. Plus you people that think that they are washed out: The Goo Goo Dolls were and still are WAY more famous/important/amazing/great than you were/ever will be!!!!!!!!!!

I always liked GGD. you have to understand, Johnny (lead singer) is in his 40s now, so maybe his popularity isn't where it used to be, say when "Iris" was released. They are still working hard -- GGD has a great song on the most recent Spiderman soundtrack called, "before it's too late." Also their last album "Let Love in" wasn't their biggest hit but I liked the album overall. Seems to me they aren't washed up at all, just not garnering the mass attention they got with some of their bigger, more popular hits like "slide" and "black balloon." Happens....

John Reznik is now a judge on the FOX TV show The Next Great American Band so what does that tell you. (he's plays the judge like Randy on American Idol)

They've been washed up since the early 90s. Once they decided to stop being derivative of early Replacements and to start being derivative of late-period Replacements, it was all over.

Not at all. They have been themselves since they began, they really didn't change their style of music that greatly. They sound great on their last album especially for being an old band.
