my mother always took out the cotton, poured out two tylenol and then put the cotton back in... I always did the same untill after i was married..noticed my wife pulling out the cotton and throwing it away, i was stunned.... anyone have a similar experience?

I pull the cotton out...it's really only there for shipping...I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this..

cotton was put in for shipping to keep the pills from moving around alot & breaking. there's no need to keep it after the bottle is open.

well supposedly the cotton is to make the pills fresh, but i just throw it out.

throw it out. the cotton can absord the moisture interior the bottle and impact the drugs properties. i think of they placed it in there to take in area so the tablets dont shake around and ruin. i presumed i replaced into the sole individual to ever ask your self this. lol

why would you put in back in bottle ? I always thought it was just their to prevent breakage during shipping
