I gained a horrible amount of 100lbs with my first child, lost only 20 of it before getting pregnant again in which I gained 30 pounds with. I have not taken off all the weight and have now found myself pregnant again, I have found myself obsessed with the amount of weight not to gain, any thoughts?

Try not to worry. I put on huge amounts with my pregnancies too. You can not diet when you are pregnant so just take it easy and make every bite count. If you can throw in some moderately paced walking etc. that should help. See what your Dr. says. Don't worry, you'll get your body back later.

Talk to your doctor. I started out with my 1st pregnancy weighing 216 pounds (which was close to my highest for me). I feel great when I weigh about 180. I lost 16 pounds during the 1st part of the pregnancy and only gained back the 16 pounds at the end so I never weighed more than my initial weight. That was three years ago; I'm 20 weeks w/ #2 and have already lost 8 pounds now weighing 208 pounds so far. When you are overweight you don't have to gain weight to have a healthy pregnancy. My baby is growing, my stomach is growing, I eat well but not too much. My doctor is very pleased with my weight. I don't have gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, or swelling. I didn't with my 1st either. Good luck!

Just eat healthy and don't worry about the weight you gain while pregnant. Try walking for gentle exercise at least twice a week. You will have time after the baby is born to lose the weight :)

now is not the time to worry about weight gain. you don't want to get in a situation where you don't eat because you don't want to gain weight. it could jeopardize the baby. the best you can do is make sure you eat heathfully, get plenty of water and exercise (walking, yoga, etc.). lead as healthy a life as you can and once you give birth then you can focus on losing. best of luck!
